本州以南に広く分布し、中国と台湾からも知られる。枯れ枝に生息し、食菌性。メス・オスともに有翅型と短翅型が出現し、口錐は短く、中胸前腹板に届かない。

This species is widely distributed south of Honshu and is also known from China and Taiwan. It lives on dead branches and is a fungus-feeder. Both macroptera and microptera are appeared in both sexes, with a short mouth cone that is not reaching the mesopresternum.
